Field Trip to Woodside Garden, for Daylily Dazzle Days, with Renowned Hybridizer - Dr. Darrel Apps

* In 2006, twelve of us went down in three vans, and there was no extra room coming back, as we seemed to buy just a few daylilies.  This year we plan to rent a bus!  With plenty of room in the luggage compartments for potted daylilies.  Last year the highlight of the trip was some private time with the man himself.  Darrel spent more than an hour with our group, walking through his gardens and hybridizing fields - answering all our questions and giving insight into selecting the best plants out of tens of thousands of possibilities.

Another good time was had by all, ~ 25 members & guests attended.  It was a beautiful day.  Darrel gave our group a private tour of his seedling beds, and several daylilies made it safely back to New York!
