“Wildflowers of the Hudson Valley, Their Folklore, Food and Medicinal Uses”

Lucille Weinstat has had a lifelong interest in Wildflowers, Birds and Ecology. She has taken courses at the Museum of Natural History and has served as a volunteer environmental educator, both in the Hudson Valley and Florida. She is also a well known artist and photographer.  Imbedded below are a couple of her photographs.  Anyone, who loves butterflies, will recognize the butterfly weed, a favorite brightly colored mid summer perennial of the milkweed family, whose sweet nectar will draw butterflies, such as this viceroy, into your garden, all summer long!
