Text Box: First Bloom! This photo of an Iris reticulata was taken in on March 25, 2006 by Howie Dash in his garden in New Paltz, NY. Soon the Miniature Dwarf Bearded (MDB's) and Standard Dwarf Bearded (SDB's) will be in bloom.  The Intermediate Bearded (IB's) will be here before Mother's Day!  There are a lot of Iris that bloom before the majority of bearded iris arrive at the end of May.  After that come the Siberians, Japanese, Spurias and Rebloomers.  Learn more about iris & extend the time you can enjoy these lovely perennials.
