Text Box: MISSION: To compile a current listing of the historic iris being grown in the gardens of the members of The Historic Iris Preservation Society (HIPS).  The primary purpose of this endeavor is to highlight those older iris, which are the most popular amongst members, and to identify those cultivars, which are grown in so few gardens that they are in danger of becoming lost to future generations of irisarians and hybridizers.
